Ingredients


2 eggs (refrigerated)
Salt and pepper

Method

  • Gently place eggs into a small saucepan of cold water.
  • Heat on a high heat until water starts to boil, reduce heat to medium low.
  • Allow eggs to simmer for 6 minutes.
  • Remove from water and place in cold water for a couple of minutes.

Tip

If eggs are at room temperature reduce cooking time to 5 minutes and place in luke warm water not cold.
Always boil a few extra to use later for sandwiches or in a salad.
Boiled eggs can keep in the refrigerator with the shell on for a few days, don’t forget to mark the egg as boiled.
