Kim Gilmour is a Senior project officer. She manages a range of product tests such as coffee machines, stick vacuums, bassinets, high chairs and ovens, which are all tested in our in-house labs. Kim’s work gives people access to robust, independent advice and helps consumers make informed decisions about their purchases. Her work also helps to keep manufacturers in check, by regularly exposing product flaws which can result in better and safer products. Prior to CHOICE, Kim spent 16 years working as a technology journalist in Sydney and London. With several years as a senior researcher/writer at our UK sister organisation, Which? Kim has authored how-to technology books such as Spotify for Dummies and Digital Photography for the Older and Wiser. Denis Gallagher is a Senior project officer for Digital home products and also works on test projects for the laundry and fridge labs. He produces tests for gadgets, phones, cameras and home entertainment gear as well as TVs, washing machines, dishwashers and fridges. Previously at CHOICE, Denis worked as a Content producer for digital products. Prior to CHOICE, Denis worked as an Assistant editor on Golf Australia magazine and Editor for Multimedia and Videocamera magazine. Denis has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of New South Wales and a Diploma of Journalism from Macleay College. LinkedIn

Adrian Lini tests home appliances in the CHOICE labs, from espresso machines and kettles to vacuums, lawnmowers, pressure cleaners and more. Adrian studied Agricultural Science at the University of Sydney, focusing on plant genomics and molecular lab work. Adrian applies his love for the scientific method at CHOICE by using a hands-on approach to analyse a large range of products. His role provides critical information to help people buy goods that are worth their price tag. LinkedIn

James Thomson tests TVs, speakers, fitness bands and other household digital gadgets in the digital home team at CHOICE. He also tests outdoor products like pressure cleaners, line trimmers and pool cleaners. James has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney, where he majored in computer science. Prior to CHOICE, James worked as a programmer and analyst at an insurance company for 20 years. James represents consumers on the Australian Standards committee for TE-021 – Energy performance for Audio/Video, Information and Communication Technology and Associated Equipment. LinkedIn
