I've been passionate about computers and programming since I first discovered the craft in the days when mainframes with the power of a smartwatch filled a room and their water-cooling heated the whole building. Since then, like Cylons, the technology's evolved: slicker, cheaper and more pervasive.
I'm fortunate that, after a career in the industry, CHOICE lets me write about the technology and how to use it, even using it to improve the way we work. I've been at CHOICE for ten years, off and on, and covered a lot of ground, now writing about printers and tablets and giving how-to advice to PC users. If you want to know how to do anything in Windows, I'm your man.
Computers and programming overlaps with my life outside CHOICE, but I also find time for my seven grandchildren, occasional travel to see three of them in Portugal and reading sci-fi and detective stories.
