I joined CHOICE in 2019 after five years working in various policy roles in state and federal government. As a campaigns and policy adviser at CHOICE, I work on a range of issues including making markets safer, improving transparency in the funeral sector and shaping the Australian Consumer Law so that it's effective and fit for purpose.
I know that, as consumers, we rely on businesses in our everyday lives. However, we're not always on an equal footing with them in the market and this power imbalance is harmful in both complex and enduring ways. That's why I love working at CHOICE: every day I get to meaningfully represent the views and needs of people across Australia in policy debates, law-making and in calling out bad business behaviour. It's a privilege to work with people like you to reclaim the power and balance the scales in markets.
Before CHOICE, I worked as a policy officer at the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet and at the federal Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development. I have a Master of Policy and Applied Social Research (Macquarie University), a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature (University of Sydney) and a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration (University of Canberra).
