Media and campaigns man calls it a day
After five exciting years at CHOICE Christopher Zinn has announced he’s leaving to take up various roles and interests, many of which will allow him to continue to champion the consumer.
Zinn joined CHOICE in 2007 as media spokesman after a career in journalism and in 2010 became director of campaigns and communications.
Zinn leaves CHOICE having helped to raise the profile of the organisation and bring about lasting change to consumer rights.
“My time at CHOICE has been immensely rewarding”, says Zinn.
“I’m grateful for the opportunities, excitement and relationships which have flowed as a result of working with an outstanding group of people.”
“After a short break I intend to continue working to get better deals for all consumers with other projects as a writer, public speaker, broadcaster, and consultant.”
CHOICE CEO Nick Stace today thanked Christopher for all his work.
“Chris is a star performer and an exceptional talent. While it is sad to see him leave CHOICE, I know we will find ways to work together in the future on issues where the consumer can benefit.
"Chris' achievements at CHOICE include the Shonkys, which showcase the worst and the CHOICE awards, which showcase the best. Chris has really embodied the CHOICE mantra of speaking out without fear or favour on the side of hard working mums and dads.
"One of Chris' other great achievements is the recruitment of a strong team that can continue his legacy. Head of media, Ingrid Just and head of campaigns, Matt Levey will now directly report into me and together we will drive the change agenda for CHOICE and Australian consumers.”
Christopher Zinn’s final day at CHOICE will be Thursday April 5 2012.
