02.Snack cakes

Cakes are great to nibble on but can be loaded with fats and sugar, so take care when selecting one. Portion size and the amount of saturated fat are also important. Look for products that are less than 50g in total and contain less than 5g of saturated fat.
It’s difficult to find a cake that is low in sugar, as it is used both for flavour – especially in reduced-fat cakes – and to improve texture. A cake with at least 3g of fibre should also help to keep your appetite at bay and stop you from going back for more.
