Discover Energy sells electricity and gas to almost 6000 households. It's an IT-focused retailer that claims to use a number of different technologies, including smart technologies, to rework energy delivery methods in Australia and improve sustainability.

Established in 2018, Discover is a partly Australian-owned company based in Sydney. Its call centre is also located there. Its sister company and part owner is One Stop Warehouse, which is Australia's largest solar inverter and storage distributor. It offers electricity and gas in Queensland (via Energex), New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia and electricity only in the ACT.
It offers solar power and battery systems, and EV charging plans as well as Virtual Power Plant partnerships. This is essentially a cloud-based power management system that allows small storage systems to communicate as a single entity. It also claims that its smart technologies can improve power management at home to reduce energy expenses.
