Why is room size important?

Choosing the right room size means the air conditioner will be more efficient and cost less to run. Don't be tempted to go smaller to save money, or larger to keep your house really cold. Our tip is to choose the option that is equal or slightly greater than the size of your room.

When is heating as well as cooling useful?

A reverse-cycle air conditioner can heat as well as cool. It's by far the cheapest heating appliance to run. Cooling-only is generally cheaper to purchase. But even if you only use heating occasionally, you're better off getting a reverse-cycle model in most cases.

Do I need built-in Wi-Fi?

Smart ACs have built-in Wi-Fi that lets you to control the air conditioner with an app on your phone. You can turn it on or off, set temperatures and monitor energy use when you’re away. If you select no, we’ll show you models without Wi-Fi, but you can still purchase a separate adaptor to turn it into a ‘smart AC’.
