CHOICE is reshaping the way we write for consumers to make sure we deliver on our nonprofit mission in the most effective way possible in 2018.
CHOICE's mission has remained unchanged for 59 years. We exist to fight for fair, safe and just markets for Australian consumers. We're proposing to create a new, dedicated investigative journalism function within CHOICE to uncover bad business practices, hoping to replicate the impact we've made in the last year with unique investigations like our work on the Takata airbag recall. We're also proposing to create a new team to shine an even more powerful light on industries like private health insurance and the finance sector.
This change does not involve CHOICE doing less work for consumers, but it does mean working in different ways.
No staff have lost their jobs. CHOICE is still consulting with staff on the potential changes and will be unable to comment on any specifics until this is completed.

07/11/2018: As part of this process, a small number of staff affected by the proposed changes are being offered the opportunity to apply for other roles within CHOICE. Two people have chosen not to do this and have left CHOICE.
