Bike light reviews

Cycling experts test and review more than 100 bicycle lights, including models from Cateye, NiteRider and Lezyne and more.

Last updated: 5th May 2014

Bike lights are essential for riding in bad weather or low light. In fact, they're required by law as informed by the Australian Road Rules. Here you'll find 109 bike light reviews for models priced from $15 to $350. They include compact front bike lights, compact rear bike lights, and high-powered front lights.

Thanks to RideOn for allowing us to reproduce their bike light test results. The lights have been reviewed by Bicycle Network and a panel of industry experts in line with the Australian Road Rules.

We reveal which bike lights are the:

  • most visible,
  • most durable, and
  • easiest to use, fit and remove.
