Last updated: 2nd June 2015

Bike lights are an essential piece of cycling equipment – in fact, they're required by law as stated in the Australian Road Rules. Here you'll find results for 143 bike lights (a combination of front and rear lights) priced from $15 to $439.

Thanks to RideOn for allowing us to reproduce their bike light test results. The lights have been reviewed for visibility by Bicycle Network and a panel of industry experts in line with the Australian Road Rules.

We reveal which bike lights are:

  • most visible
  • most durable
  • easiest to use, fit and remove.

We've added some of our 13 criteria to the table below.
