As director of advocacy (communications) at Super Consumers Australia, Susan is helping to build a fairer superannuation system for all Australians. She has a wealth of campaign and policy experience.
Susan joined Super Consumers Australia (SCA) at CHOICE in 2023 to lead SCA's strategic campaigns and advocacy work. She is a highly-experienced consumer and community advocate who has run successful campaigns and published influential policy reports in areas as diverse as financial services, housing and climate change.
She was previously closely involved in the Financial Services Royal Commission as a consumer advocate, and later at the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), implementing key recommendations on insurance regulation.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws and BA Communication (Journalism) from the University of Technology Sydney, and a Graduate Certificate in Social Science (Policy and Human Services) from RMIT University. In 2018, she was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to travel overseas to explore how to protect and empower financially vulnerable people in big data laws and practices.
