02.Where to buy

Clothing and shoes

Tall-friendly clothes are available in Australia from Rodd & Gunn and King Size, and online at Tall Jeans, Vertically Blessed, Sarah Vain and Tall and Long Tall Sally, among others.

Some of these retailers also stock larger-sized shoes, as do Forbes Footwear, Rosenberg's Shoes of Windsor, Sole Searching, and At Last Shoes.

Transport

There’s not much consumers can do about public transport, but selecting the best airline for legroom (not to mention the roomiest seat on board) is made easy with Seat Guru, which publishes seating charts for most airlines and planes.

CHOICE’s resident long-limbed pram expert Chris Barnes recommends looking for prams with extendable handles, and points out that Stokke are particularly well-suited for taller parents.

Mattresses

A custom-made mattress will be more expensive than a standard-sized one, but the added comfort may be worth it. They are available at Made to Measure Mattresses, Sydney Furniture, and Mattresses Online, among others.
