How to log in

I've forgotten my login details.

No problem, just use the 'forgot password?' link and follow the prompts. If you can't remember the email address you used to set up your account, call Customer Service on 1800 069 552 (free call within Australia) from Monday to Friday, 9.00am–5.00pm (AEST or AEDT) or email us.

I logged in, now the website seems to have logged me out.

To protect your security, you'll need to log in every time you visit the site. If you'd like to stay logged in for 30 days, please tick the check box above the log in button.

TIP: use your browser's 'save password' functionality to keep your login details handy.

I can't find my profile page.

Once you've logged in you'll see a 'My profile' button in the blue bar at the top of the screen. On a small screen device you'll need to click the menu button and the profile button will expand out.

How do I cancel or make changes to my account details or membership package?

You can edit, cancel or change membership details, including your password, by logging into your profile page. Once you've logged in you will see a 'My profile' button in the blue bar at the top of the screen. On a small screen device you'll need to click the menu button and the profile button will expand out.

Using our product review comparison tool

How do I see the best-rated products in a review?

We offer a lot of information in our reviews to non-members, but for most products scores will be available to members only. Once you log in as a member, the list of products will default to sorting by overall score, with CHOICE Recommended products listed first.

There are so many products. How can I see just the ones I'm most interested in?

Use the filters on the left of the page (or if you're on a mobile, towards the top of the screen) to see results based on what's important to you – brand, price or score, and even particular features and specifications. 

I can't see a filter that I'd like to use in the list of options.

We've chosen a selection of filters based on what we think will appeal to the biggest range of users. Let us know if you have a suggestion for a feature or score you'd like to be able to filter by, and we'll consider adding it.

How do I compare a few products side-by-side?

You can select up to six products to compare side-by-side by selecting the purple 'Compare' button that's under the product's picture.

Can I easily compare every product in the test?

Yes, just select the purple 'Compare all products' button under the review introduction to see a full table of products and their results. (Because of screen size restrictions this option isn't available when viewing on a mobile.)

I'm in 'Compare all products' view – now how do I get back to the tool?

Use the green navigation on the top left of the page to go back, or just hit your Back button.

What if I want to look at just one product in greater detail?

Each product has a dedicated page with detailed test results, specifications and high-resolution product shots. You can also leave your own review of a product and reader other CHOICE members' reviews. 

How can I request that a specific product be tested?

Send us an email using our Request a test form. Please note we make every effort to add products to our testing based on your feedback, but can't guarantee we'll be able to fulfill the request.


CHOICE digital (tablet) magazine for iPad and Android

What is the CHOICE digital magazine and CHOICE Computer digital magazine?

These magazines are the tablet versions of our traditional print magazines – CHOICE and CHOICE Computer. The tablet magazines are available for Android and iPad tablets and are compatible with iPad, iPad Mini, iPad Air with iOS6 and above and Android tablets that have large screens running 4.0.3 or above.

The digital magazines are NOT compatible with iPhone or iPod devices, Android smartphones or on a desktop.

How do I download the CHOICE and CHOICE Computer digital (tablet) magazine apps to my tablet?

To download the digital magazine to your iPad:

  • Visit the App Store pages for CHOICE or CHOICE Computer, or search for CHOICE magazine or CHOICE Computer magazine in the App Store.
  • Tap the 'Get' and 'Install' buttons.
  • Add you iTunes password when prompted.
  • Tap 'Open' after the app has finished installing.
  • Click the 'Sign in' link in the top left of the screen and sign in using your CHOICE login.
  • The 'Buy' buttons will now change to 'Download' for the magazines in your membership period.
  • Tap the magazine cover to download.

To download the digital magazine to your Android tablet:

  • Visit the Play Store pages for CHOICE or CHOICE Computer, or search for CHOICE magazine or CHOICE Computer magazine in the Play Store.
  • Tap the icon and click 'Install'.
  • Tap 'Open' once the app has finished installing.
  • Click the three vertical dots in the top right and sign in with your CHOICE login.
  • The price underneath the magazine covers will change to 'Purchased' for the magazines in your membership period.
  • Tap the magazine cover to download.

After I've downloaded the app how can I access my digital (tablet) magazines?

For iPad: click the CHOICE app icon in your applications. You'll be taken to a welcome screen, and prompted to sign in with your CHOICE login. Once signed in, you'll see a preview of all the magazine issues available. For issues you're entitled to, the button below the magazine images will say 'Download' – tap it to download. For magazines published before your subscription started, the button will say 'Buy'. Once a magazine is downloaded, it will appear in the 'library' which is the button to the left-hand side of 'store'.

You can also access your magazines through Newsstand if you haven't updated your operating system to iOS 9.1 yet.

For Android: click the CHOICE app icon in your applications and you'll see all the magazines listed. After logging in with your CHOICE login, the price underneath each cover image will change to 'purchased' (unless it was published before your subscription period started. To download an issue, tap the cover image.

What type of membership do I need to access the tablet magazine?

Digital magazine access is not included in online-only membership packages. To be able to download the CHOICE tablet magazines, you'll need a membership that includes the magazine – either magazine-only or online access plus the magazine – and you can simply opt for the digital version instead of a physical copy.

Do the digital magazines expire?

No, the magazines never expire. Once you've viewed an issue, you may archive it for future download if you wish. Archiving an issue will remove it from your device and create more space, but you'll still be able to download it again at any time.

  • To archive on iPad, click 'library' and click 'Archive' top right. Then click the 'x' to select those you want to archive. If you wish to download it again, just click the 'Download' button in the store view.
  • To archive on Android, click the three dots underneath the cover image and click 'Archive'. To download it again, tap the cover image.
