In the past, our health insurance comparison tool has helped you find the best policy for your needs. The complexity of the coming changes means we need to rebuild our tool, and we need some time to get that right. So we've made the tough call to bring it down for now. The upcoming changes to health insurance affect how our database works. That means there’s a chance our tool won’t recommend the best cover you can get right now. We need time to analyse the data and make sure we’re giving you great advice. So for now we’ve taken our tool down to do that work.
Commercial comparison sites earn money by recommending policies from health funds. So it’s in the interests of health funds to give those sites updated policy information before the changes happen. It’s also in the interests of comparison sites to recommend you policies that earn them the best income.
We're non-profit, and funded by our members. We get our information from the government and that updated information is available after 1 April. We’re here to recommend the best policy for you, not us. That’s why we'll take longer to make recommendations.
All insurance policies will change from 1 April. Some might be better, some not. We don't want to recommend a policy that suits your needs now, that may not be the same after that date.

After 1 April, we'll decide if the comparison tool is the best way we can recommend policies for you. Whether it's a comparison tool, online content, or old-fashioned handouts, our team of health insurance experts will be behind it all. We'll give advice that means you can select the best policy on the market for you.
All policies are changing. Some won't change much, others will. You'll receive a letter from your health fund telling you what they're going to do with your policy. We can help you decide what to do about the letter you get from your health fund.

After then we'll update you on what to do and how to choose the best policy for you.
