Power meter reviews

We test 11 power meters in the CHOICE labs including models from Arlec, Clipsal and more.

Last updated: 1st June 2011

Power meters, also known as energy meters and home energy monitors, help you monitor your home energy use and calculate the energy cost of household appliances. They're generally easy to use – all you need to do is plug your appliance into the meter (which is plugged into a power point) and it'll give you a reading on an LCD screen.

We test 11 power meters in the CHOICE labs and measure their performance, accuracy and ease of use.
