The overall score is made up of performance (60%) and ease of use (40%).
In some instances, at the request of members and when products are still available on the second-hand market and via sites like eBay, we include discontinued models in the tables. 'Active' indicates they can still be found in shops and 'inactive' that they are discontinued models.
How easy it is to use the controls and read the labelling, lift and lower the head, remove and replace the bowl and mixing tools, add ingredients while the machine is operating and clean parts and the main unit. The ease of use score accounts for 40% of the overall score.
