Booster seat reviews 2012

We test 21 children's booster seats, including models from Baby Love, Britax, Mother's Choice and more.

Last updated: 9th December 2012

Children come in all shapes and sizes, so when selecting the appropriate child car restraint, age isn't the only factor to consider. You also need to take into account the physical size of your child, as restraints are designed to protect a child of a particular size.

An ill-fitting child restraint, particularly one designed for older or larger children, can greatly increase the risk of serious injury or worse. We've assessed each booster seat for ease of use, how easy they are to fit, and the range of features available.

Note: This test was done in 2012 and many new models have since appeared on the market. You'll find many of the tested models still available new or second-hand. See our article on what not to buy second-hand.
