We want our staff to be representative of all Australian consumers.

To successfully achieve the CHOICE organisational purpose fighting for fair, just and safe markets for consumers, we want our workplace to be more representative of all Australians. A more diverse and inclusive workplace helps us better understand and respond to the needs of all consumers.

A major goal in our 2021–24 Strategy is to be "an organisation that people want to support and work for". To work towards this, a variety of teams across CHOICE will focus on:

  1. The implementation of our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)
  2. Flexible, inclusive recruitment and selection techniques to identify the best talent and ensure they receive support and tools to succeed
  3. Supporting staff through assistive technology, mental health support and progressive policies and  flexible working arrangements
  4. Maintaining our compliance with The Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) compliance reporting program, which allows us to regularly assess our salaries and policies from the perspective of gender equality and identify opportunities for improvement. Read more in our WGEA Employer Statement.
