Vehicles equipped with the 1MZ-FE or 3MZ-FE engines. The recall covers the production period between 1 June 2004 and 31 March 2005.

What are the hazards?

There is a possibility that the defect may lead to abnormal noise or sudden illumination of the charging system warning light. In rare cases, the belt for the power steering pump may become detached from the pulley, which could result in a sudden unexpected increase in steering effort.
