01.Discount Market hot water bottle recall

The 800 mL Blue Rubber Hot Water Bottle sold at Discount Market in the Top Ryde Shopping Centre on August 10, 2011 has been recalled. The thickness of the rubber does not meet the requirements of the Trade Practices (Consumer Product Safety Standard) Hot Water Bottles Regulations 2008.

What are the hazards?

There is concern that this hot water bottle may leak, split or burst causing serious burns.

What should consumers do?

Consumers should cease using this product immediately and return it to Discount Market for a refund.
