01.Louise Sylvan appointment good for consumers
CHOICE has welcomed the appointment of consumer champion Louise Sylvan to be the permanent CEO of the Australian National Preventative Health Agency (ANPHA).
Louise, a former CEO of CHOICE with a proven track record in putting consumers first, will lead a major part of the national health reform agenda in the role.
Her understanding of market forces and behavioural economics will bring a powerful new perspective to the role. Most recently she was a Productivity Commissioner inquiring into the future of the retail sector.
The Australian National Preventive Health Agency is an independent statutory authority forging preventive health initiatives around obesity and alcohol, tobacco and other substance abuse.
