Aldi's Kuchef Thermo Cook has been recalled due to a risk of burns with use. If overloaded with food this all-in-one kitchen machine can restart at a higher speed, potentially causing hot food to be ejected, according to ACCCs Product Safety Recalls.

The recall specifically relates to product item code (PLU) 44277 and model number EC-TC-01, sold in Aldi stores in the ACT, NSW, Queensland and Victoria between 18 December 2013 and 18 January 2014.

If you own a Kuchef Thermo Cook, it’s advised that you stop using it immediately and organise a replacement unit by contacting Euro Centra, the product’s importer, on 1800 269 981 (toll free) or support@eurocentra.com.au.

Its been a bad trot for major supermarkets, with a variety of Woolworths’ Macro Organic baby food recalled on the same day. This was the result of a mum’s discovery of a two centimetre long razor blade inside the pouch, as she was preparing to serve the food to her child.
