An extra large medium

As most people who know me will admit (often with an unseemly amount of enthusiasm), it's not often that I'm lost for words. But starting a blog on video production for CHOICE presents me with something of a challenge.

You're obviously interested in video, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this, but other than this salient piece of information, I'm a little stumped as to what you might be expecting to see here. Video is a pretty big umbrella, after all.

So until we get to know each other a little bit better, I thought I might just cover some of the things I do as the video producer here at CHOICE. And that could be anything from putting a camera inside a bin full of cockroaches one week to creating a promotional video for the new site design the next.

Speaking of which, I've just taken the wraps off of the aforementioned promotional video, which I've embedded in this article in case you haven't seen it already.

So if it's okay with you, I'll be using my next few blogs to show you some of the techniques I used to create it. After that, I'll start to cover a few basic techniques for Web video. If this isn't the kind of thing you want to see, then leave a comment telling me what you're interested in, and I'll give it some thought.
